Osayomore Joseph And The Ulele Power Sounds
Osayomore Joseph was an innovative musician credited for his creative fusion of traditional Edo music with contemporary sounds which led to the creation of the distinctive “Ulele Power Sound.” Born in a village close to Benin city in 1952, he began his musical journey as part of the Nigerian Army band in the 1970s. He will eventually leave the army to pursue a career in music. As a visionary, he created a refreshing style of music effortlessly that combined elements of highlife, funk, and Afrobeat, contributing significantly to the evolution of Edo music.
