Resurrection Power
Christian Aguguam
At the time Aguguam entered the music scene, highlife was the rave. He however came with a different sort of music. He sang gospel majorly but with a mixture of Reggae and Afro beats. He spoke on crucial topics in the government sector. As an artist, he believed in the fight for a better life for the people, speaking on the struggles of the common man in Nigeria.
“Big Man Big Belle”, spoke on the crucial matters that plagued society. The rich were getting richer, stuffing their tummies with money from the people, while the people they ought to protect and provide for wallow in poverty. The song goes on to encourage people of a better tomorrow, regardless of the unconstitutional acts of the politicians. “ Resurrection power”,a gospel song that shunned false teachings, took most of its inspiration from the Bible. It spoke on crucial matters like those using the name of the Lord in vain, committing devilish acts. It warns people to beware of those trying to claim they are the savior.
In all, Aguguam made a huge impact in the lives of the common people through his music and sought only to uplift them.
