The talking drum is used by talented drummers to sing praises to socialites, and have discussions with the listeners. This style of music made Ebenezer Remilekun Are my Olasupo Obey Fabiyi, famous. His stage name is Ebenezer Obey, a talented musician who still creates good music till today. The musician hails from Indigo, Ogun State. He learnt his trade from the legendary Fatai Rolling Dollar, performing and polishing his skill of the talking drum. He went solo, creating the International Brothers Band in 1964; renaming it InterReformers in the 1970s. Praise songs, Christian themed songs, made up the majority of his soundtracks. Drums of all types were experimented on, adding flavor to his unique style of jazz, performing differently from the others. His songs became popular in each household due to the Christian spiritual themes he explored.
